Are you interested in a dinner and discussion about getting kids outdoors?  If so, please join us as we have dinner together this Thursday evening at 6:30 pm at the Remington Resturant at the Clarion Hotel on West Kellogg, Wichita, KS.

Dr Herb Broda, Professor of Education at Ashland University, will lead the discussion and give us all sorts of ideas and things to ponder.  Please see the Outdoor Kids Dinner & Discussion Invitefor details.

The event is free, but each participant is responsible for purchasing their own dinner from Remington Resturant.  Dinner options look yummy, and range in price from $7-$14.  Please register here so we can get a head count.

This event is for adults only, but we will be inspired to go home or back to work and take the kids we know outdoors for fun, education, and connections to nature.  Bring a friend and join us!

Save the Date!

The Arkansas River Coalition (ARC) is hosting a “get acquainted with paddling” event on August 4 from 5:30-8:30pm.

Have you ever paddled on the Ark River?  Have you seen kayakers or canoers and wondered if you and your family would enjoy it?    Well now’s your chance!

The ARC group invites anyone or any family to come out to experience paddling around the Little Arkansas River to see how they like it.  Kayaks (single & tandem) and canoes will be provided.

We had a great hike out on the nature trail last night!  Check out the July 13 – Trail Hike for some tips for your next hike.

g2g is taking a hike!  Join us for a hike along the Extension Office’s Nature Trail.  We will walk the trail and play some fun trail games on Wednesday, July 13 from 6p-7p

Tennis or hiking shoes are recommended.  The trail is mulch, so it’s hard to walk on in flip-flops.

Bring friends and meet us in the back (east) part of the gravel parking lot behind the Sedgwick County Extension Office, located on the corner of 21st and Ridge Rd.

g2g Outside is Playing in the Park tomorrow, June 21 from 6p-7p in North Linwood Park.  Bring friends and neighbors and let’s play outside together.  We’ll be playing some old fashion games along with a few you may not have played before.  We hope to inspire outdoor play all summer long!
